Shades of the past

This new French law is being widely reported around the Internet today.  Not so much on the Tube.  Of course, that's to be expected.  It's much more important for the American people to know if Amanda Knox will be set free, as was Willy, than to know what is happening to money around the globe.

  1. Not clear what's going on there, Forrest. The big brains keep telling me that the total value of gold in the world is a drop in the bucket compared to all the other assets. But then, a lot of those assets are bad. And then again, gold is only worth something because people think it is. And then again, you can say the same thing about money. And then againi...

    My head hurts.

  2. Boomer - What I found interesting was that this sort of law was passed fairly recently - in Russia just before the collapse. Who the heck knows what to do with a dollar in these times. Certainly not anyone in our government.
